Louise Houston, 80, of 504 Holly St.. Monon died at 12:41 p.m. on Sunday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Lafayette.

She was born October 11, 1917 in Jasper County the daughter of Bryan and Mary Pullins Odom.

Her marriage was to Raymond Houston on June 6, 1936 in Rensselaer.

She had lived in Monon for the past 20 years, coming from Francesville, Indiana.

She was a member of the Monon United Methodist Church, O.E.S. #310, Medaryville for over 50 years, and Gilliam Ladies Aid.

Surviving besides her husband are four daughters: Mrs. Ralph (Pat) Wendt; Mrs. Larry (Mary Alice) Halsema and Mrs. John (Linda) Runk all of Lafayette and Brenda Krug of Monon. She had 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

A sister, Georgia Utterback of Roanoke, IN and two brothers, Charles Odom of Estero, Fl and  Max Odom of Francesville also survive.

Funeral services were at the Querry-Ulbricht Funeral Home in Francesville this morning with burial in the Roseland Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Monon United Methodist Church or the Monon Monon Township Public Library.
