Larry L. Hoover

Larry L. Hoover, 61, of Reynolds died suddenly at 7:40 a.m. on Monday, September 30, 2002 in White County Memorial Hospital.

He was born April 14, 1941 in LaPorte, Indiana, the son of Arthur L. and Dorothy Schoetker Hoover of Monon. He married Phyllis Vieregge on August 26, 1961 in Reynolds. She survives.

A Reynolds businessman, Larry and his wife owned & operated the Frosty Freeze Drive-in and Hoover's Serf [sic] Serve Mart in Reynolds for several years.

He was a livelong [sic] White County resident and graduated from Monon High School in 1959 and attended Indiana University in Bloomington.

He is survived by his wife, father Arthur, two daughters, Missy Lowry of Reynolds and Cindy (Scott) Griffin of Monon a brother Bill (Donna) Hoover of Lafayette; two sisters, Lois (Harold) Jones, of Leesburg, Ind., and Debbie (Charles) Jennings of Lafayette and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were this morning at St. James Lutheran Church in Reynolds with Pastor Charles Blakey officiating. Burial was in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Reynolds. Kellogg Funeral Home in Monon was in charge of the services.
