Nellie May Hoffman, 92, died Thursday, March 30, at Parkview Haven Nursing Home, Francesville.  She had been ill for three months.

She was born Sept. 8, 1907, to Joseph Arthur and Flora Foy St. Clair, in Cass County.  She was married Feb. 27, 1932, to Charlie Hoffman in Winamac.  he died Feb. 22, 1992.

She was a graduate of Metea High School in Cass County and was also a graduate of Logansport Business College.

She was a homemaker and had lived most of her life in the Monon area.

She was a member of the Monon Community Church.

She is survived by sons, Bob Hoffman of San Pierre, Jim Hoffman of Winamac, Harold Hoffman, of Fowler and Keith Hoffman, of Rochester; daughters, Donna "Meyer" St. Clair of Kewanna and Alice Thurston of Fowler; brothers, Orren St. Clair of Kewanna and Glen St. Clair of Galveston; 36 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren; and 18 great-great grandchildren.

Four brothers, three sisters and a grandchild are deceased.

Funeral services were Tuesday at Kellogg Funeral Home, Monon, with the Rev. Don Newman and Mark Timm officiating.

Burial was in Chapel Cemetery, Monon.

Memorials may be given to the Monon Community Church new building program.
