Nellie G. Hinshaw, 90, of Monticello died Tuesday, November 12, 2002 at White County Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Carroll County on September 13, 1912, to William and Mary Kathryn Cole Medley. She married Willis Hinshaw on April 5, 1930. He died May 16, 1996.

She started school in Brookston and attended Remington High School until she was in the ll^th grade.

She lived in this area most of her life and sold Avon products for 40 years, retiring in 1999.

She was a member of the Amana Baptist Church of rural Monticello.

Survivors include sons, William R. "Dick" (Lola) Hinshaw, W.E. "Cotton" (Fay "Mimi") Hinshaw and Robert L. (Jackie) Hinshaw all of Monticello; a brother Robert (Jean) Medley of West Lafayette; sisters, Helena Byers of West Point and Emmaline (Hugh) Leeman of Rochester; 11 grandchildren; 16 step grandchildren; 20 great-grand children; 10 step-grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Four brothers, two sisters and a grand daughter are deceased.

Funeral services were Saturday at Amana Baptist Church with Pastor Tom Bennett officiating. Miller-Roscka Funeral Home was in charge of services.

Burial was in Hughes Cemetery.
