Mary "Marjorie" Hines

Mary "Marjorie" Hines, 81, of Lafayette, died Tuesday, January 18, 2005 in St. Elizabeth Hospital.

She was born February 28, 1923 in Kramer, Ind., to Herman B. & Blanche Irene (Hosterman) Taylor.

Her marriage was to Alva O. Hines on December 21, 1945 in Lafayette. She and her husband lived in the Attica area before coming to the Lafayette area, where they had lived since. He survives.

Mrs. Hines was a homemaker. She also worked for a short while at Purdue University in housekeeping. Prior to her marriage she worked for Harrison Steel Castings in Attica during World War II and also as a waitress at the Mudlavia Hotel in Kramer.

Marjorie loved to do embroidery. She enjoyed dancing and traveling the United States with her husband.

Surviving with her husband are two brothers, Raymond (JoAnn) Taylor of Kramer and Lavern (Jo) Taylor of Crawfordsville; and two sisters, Anna Mae (Raymond) Smith-Young of Haines City, Florida and Margaret "Jean" Hurley of Kramer.

Two bruthers, Richard Taylor and Herman Eugene Taylor preceded her in death.

Funeral services were Saturday, January 22 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home in Brookston.

Burial will be in Brookston I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
