Curtis Brown Hiner

Curtis Brown Hiner, 79, Chalmers, died Friday, May 25, at 12:10 p.m. in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette.

He was born April 9,1912, to Curtis 0. and Daisy V. Brown Hiner, in Brookston. He was married Sept. 23, 1938, to Mabel Eisert, in Brookston and she survives.

He was a 1930 graduate from Brookston High School.

For the last 25 years he lived in Chalmers and prior to that he lived in Brookston.

He was co-owner with his wife, of the Mobil Station in Chalmers.

Survivors along with his wife are four sons: Jerry, Brookston, Ronald, Santa Monica, Calif.; Bradley, Indianapolis; and Bruce, Chalmers; a brother, Jewell, Steelsville, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and one great granddaughter. Two brothers and a granddaughter are deceased.

Public graveside service was conducted Tuesday, in Chalmers Community Cemetery with the Rev. Loren Shuman officiating.

Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, was in charge of the service.
