Audie High, 83, Rt. 1, Brookston died Tuesday, July 9, at Tioga Pines Retirement Home in Monticello. He had been ill for a year.
He was born November 4, 1907 in Coe, KY and had lived in White County for the past 49 years. He was the son of Ranzie and Vernie Hurd High.
A farmer and factory worker, he was a member of the Church of Christ in Brookston.
He married Mary Pearl Scott on April 20, 1930. She survives along with a son Kenneth High of Reynolds. One sister, Mrs Ned (Ruby) Sims of Brookston also survives along with 3 grandchildren. A twin brother and a sister preceded him in death.
Services will be at the Church of Christ in Brookston at 2:00 p.m. Friday with Pastors Bill Romans and Bill Miller officiating. Burial will be in Chalmers Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hartzler Funeral Home in Brookston from 5 to 9 p.m. tonight and at the church 1 hour prior to the services.
