Helen K. Higgins, 84, R.1,  Reynolds, died Sunday, Dec. 14, in Home Hospital, Lafayette.

She was born Jan. 15, 1913, to James and Katherine Horan Higgins, in Wolcott. She never married.

She had lived in the Reynolds area all her life and grew up under the care of her aunt Mary Horan and her uncle Jerry Horan.

She was a graduate of Reynolds High School and Indiana University.

She .taught school in Reynolds and the surrounding area for several years and farmed in White County for several years.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

She is survived by her friend, Ann Humphrey of Chalmers; and four cousins, Antoinetta Higgins of Roheart Park, Calif., Francis Altman of Chalmers, Ruth Hower of Sarasota, Florida and Wilmer Altman of Ambia.

Her aunt and uncle are deceased.

Funeral services were this morning at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Reynolds, with the Rev. Richard E. Miller officiating.

Burial was in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Reynolds.
