Lola Joseph Hensley, 89, StarCity, died Thursday, May 25, at Jasper Co. Hospital, Rensselaer.
She was born Sept. 21, 1910, to Levi and Sarah Bailey Wireman, in Magoffin County, Kentucky. She was married Dec. 26, 1927, to Clarence Joseph in Jackson, Kentucky. He died Nov. 11, 1981. She then married Green Hensley, March 17, 1984, in Rensselaer and he survives.
She had lived most of her life in the Medaryville and Monon area.
She worked at Bryan Manufacturing, a division of Essex Wire of Monticello, for many years.
She was a member of the Church of God, Star City.
She is survived by her husband, sons, Charles Joseph of Livingston, Texas; Emmett Joseph, Westville; Larry Joseph, Chesterton; Omer Joseph, Headlee and Lonnie Joseph, Buffalo; daughters, Lorretta Bailey, Winamac; Ruby Garbison, Bumettsville; Janet Ferrell, Chesterton and Sharon Jackson, Sawyer, Mich.; 56 grandchildren; 77 great grandchildren and 37 great-great grandchildren.
Two sons, two grandchildren, a great grandchild, four sistersand two brothers are deceased.
Funeral services were Tuesday at Querry-Ulbricht Funeral Home, Francesville, with Pastors James Pruitt and Jess Bailey officiating.
Burial will be in the Independence Cemetery, Medaryville.
