Velma Marie Bryan Hendrickson, 73, 1919W Tippecanoe Co. Road 600N, died Jan. 4, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette, where she had been a patient since Dec. 23. She was in failing health past several months.
She was born May 31, 1919, to Chester J. and Agnes L. Stewart in Tippecanoe County.
She was a 1938 graduate of Battle Ground High School. She worked at Vendergraff's Greenhouse, West Lafayette, for five years.
She was a former member of Liberty Chapel EUB Church and Ladies Auziliary of Merou Grotto West Lafayette.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs Diana Van Horn, Lafayette and Mrs Larry (Judith) Schurman, Muncie; two sons, Brian, Crawfordsville and Richard, Port Charlotte, Fla.; a brother, Jack Bryan, Toledo, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs Everett (Marjorie) Ferguson, West Lafayette, and Ruth Bryan, Lafayette; seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
The funeral will be Friday, at 11 a.m. in Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, with the Rev. Ross Terry officiating. Calling will be 5-8 p.m., Thursday.
Burial will be in Battle Ground Cemetery.
