Carl M. Hendrickson, 71, formerly of Brookston and West Lafayette, died Tuesday morning in Muncie Healthcare Center, Muncie.
He was born April 28, 1918, in Brookston, to Henry and Bertha Bartlett Hendrickson.
He was formerly employed at Brown Rubber Co. in Lafayette and was a farmer. He attended Brookston schools and was a member of Battle Ground Masonic Lodge, Merou Grotto and Knights of Pithias in Lafayette, the Scottish Rite in Indianapolis and the auxiliary police in Lafayette.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs Jim (Diana) VanHorn, Lafayette and Mrs Larry (Judith) Schuerman, Selma; two sons, Brian, Crawfordsville and Richard of Lakeland, Fla.; seven grand children; one great-granddaughter; one brother Bill Hendrickson, Decatur Mich.; and two sisters, Mrs George Florence Gagnon, Brookston and Mrs Anna Mae Aldridge, Elwood. One brother is deceased.
A graveside service will be conducted today at 2 p.m. at International Order of Odd Fellows Cemetery in Brookston, the Rev B. James Walter officiating.
