Mable Heiny, 85, formerly of Monticello, died Sunday, March 14, in Milner Community Healthcare Center, Rossville. She had been in failing health for two years.

She was born May 26,1907, to Alva and Effie Tam Hunt, in White County. She was married Feb. 17, 1926, to Merle J. Heiny, in White County, and he died Feb. 11, 1979.

She had lived in Monticello since 1977, moving there from a farm north of Idaville, where she had
lived for 53 years.

She was a member of Pious Chapel Church near Idaville.

Surviving is a son, Donald D. Heiny, Kokomo; a daughter, Mrs Ronald R (Patsy A.) Schmierer,
Brookston; four grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; seven great grandchildren and 12 stepgreat grandchildren.

The funeral was Wednesday at Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home, State Sen. Steven Johnson officiating.

Burial was in Riverview Cemetery.
