Esther W. Heimlich

Esther W. Heimlich, 93, formerly of 502 Market St., Monticello, died Tuesday, Aug. 11, at 1:05 p.m. in Tioga Pines Living Center.  She had been seriously ill for three weeks.

She was born May 18, 1899, to Henry and Pauline Weise Ruemler, in White County. She was married Sept. 21,1924, to Walter G. Heimlich, in North Dakota, and he died March 5, 1979.

She lived in White County most of her life and was a graduate of Indiana State College in 1957. She taught in North Dakota, Brookston and Reynolds. She had lived in Coffeeville, N.D., for several years.

She was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Monticello.

Survivors include a son, Kenneth W., Monticello; a step-grandson, Roger Lawrie; a brother, Herbert Ruemler, Brookstcn; a sister, Selma Fanrich. Jamestown, N.D. and four step-great grandchildren. Three brothers and a sister are deceased.

The funeral will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. in Lutheran Church of Our Savior. Monticello, with Rev. Gus George officiating. Visitation is today from 4-8 p.m. at Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home, Monticello,  and one hour prior to the funeral service, Friday.

Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery, Reynolds.
