Minnie Taylor Haworth, 79, Monticello, died Monday, April 8, in Monticello Healthcare Center. She had been in ill health for five years and seriously ill for one month.
She was born Dec. 11, 1911, to Willie and Savannah Woods Sims, in Monroe Co., Kentucky. She was first married to Cleo Taylor, Oct. 31, 1931. He died May 14, 1966. She married Frank Haworth, May 24, 1975. He died Aug. 13, 1976.
She moved to Monticello from Reynolds in 1966.
For several years she worked at the former Bryan Manufacturing Co. Later she was employed at the Twin Lakes School Corp. cafeteria.
She was a member of Monticello Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Charles G. Taylor, Monticello and David J. Taylor, Philadelphia, Pa.; three daughters, Mrs Margie Kauffman and Mary Troxel, both of Lafayette and Peggy S. Mullin, Kokomo; eight grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a brother, Ned Sims, Brookston, and six sisters, Evelyn Horton, Brookston; Christine Poindexter, Wolcott, Ada Arms and Mary Short, both of Indianapolis, Maude Mitchell, Celina, Tenn., and Ollie Hamilton, Tomkinsville, Ky. A brother ad three sisters are deceased.
The funeral was Wednesday, at Miller-Voorhis Funeral Home, Monticello, Charles Hill officiated.
Burial was in IOOF Riverview Cemetery.
