Walter John Hart, Jr. 65, of Brookston died Sunday, June 23, 2002 at Marymount Medical Center in London, KY.
He was born August 13, 1936 in West Lafayette, to Walter John Sr. and Thelma Erb Hart. He married Priscella J. Kelley on October 29, 1979, in Lexington, KY. She survives.
He served in the U.S. Navy in Air Transport Squadron 22, Norfolk, Va. from 1955-57.
He was an owner and operator for Pasquale Trucking Co. in Logansport.
He was a member of Octagon Masonic Lodge 511 F&AM; West Lafayette American Legion Post 492; Moose Lodge 1529 of Lafayette, and Eagles Lodge of Kansas.
Surviving besides his wife are a son, Randall John (Alecia) Hart of Delphi; a daughter Christine Renee Hart of West Lafayette; sisters Ann (Ed) Metzger, Josephine (Orville) Trapp and Harriet (Keith) Lambert, all of Lafayette, and Wilma (Don) Olsen of Decorah, Iowa and one grandson. Two brothers, J.C. and Alexander Hart are deceased.
A gathering of family and friends will be held tonight (Wednesday) from 5-7 PM at Hartzler Funeral Home in Brookston. A Masonic service, conducted by Octagon Masonic Lodge 511, will be held at 7 PM at the funeral home.
