Thomas Alan Harmon, 19, 11193 South 300 West, Brookston, died Monday at 9:40 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette, following injuries he sustained in a one-vehicle accident on Sunday morning.
He was born May 31, 1975 in Lafayette to Robert and Linda Hendrickson Harmon.
He graduated from Frontier High School in 1993 and attended St. Joseph College in Rensselaer and Purdue University. He worked at Fairfield Manufacturing in Lafayette since December 1994.
He was a member of the Brookston Federated Church and served as an usher for the church, was a 5-year member of Round Grove 4-H Club, and played basketball and baseball for Frontier while he was in high school.
He is survived by his parents; a brother, Michael, a senior at Frontier, a sister, Alain, a freshman at Frontier, and grandmothers, Mrs. Gladys Hendrickson and Mrs. Esther Harmon, both of Brookston. His grandfathers, Al Hendrickson and Herbert Harmon are deceased.
Funeral rites are today at 11 a.m. at Brookston Federated Church with Rev. Lelan McReynolds officiating. The body will lie in state an hour prior to the service. Burial will be in IOOF Brookston Cemetery. Hartzler Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
