Kenneth C. Harmon

Kenneth C. Harmon, 70, Lafayette, died Friday, Jan. 29, at his home. He had been in failing health for the last 2 1/2 years.

He was born Feb. 18, 1922, to Elmer and Marie Conder Harmon, in Brookston. He was married July 4,1941, to Naomi North, in Idaville, and she survives.

He had lived in Lafayette, since 1949.

He was a World War II Army infantry veteran, where he served as a Staff Sergeant in the Rhineland area of Central Europe.

He had been an employee for 42 years, at Ross Gear, in Lafayette and retired in 1982.

He was a member of the Congress Street United Methodist Church, Lafayette.

Surviving with his wife are two sons: Lawrence, Dayton, Ohio, and David, Lafayette; four grandchildren, six step-grandchildren; one great granddaughter and 12 step-great grandchildren. One brother and sister are deceased. The funeral was Monday in Hartzler Funeral Home, with Rev Emojean M. Brindel officiating.

Burial was in Brookston IOOF Cemetery.
