Timothy M. Hardy, 58, 4523 E. Fairway Court, died Sunday. April 21, at 11:55 p.m. at White County Memorial Hospital.
He was born in [sic] May 29, 1943, in Elwood, to Charles F. and Margaret A. Murphy Hardy. He was married March 28, 1998, to Esther Rinker and she survives.
He was a graduate of Indiana State University and received his master's degree in education.
He served in the U.S. Air Force.
He was the one and only manager of Indiana Beach Campground in Monticello for 31 years.
He was a member of the Monon United Methodist Church.
He was a member of the IMHA/RVIC, which is the state campground board, and the ARVC, which is the national campground board.
He was the founder of the I.C.E. program at both Ncrth White and Twin Lakes. He was also a member of Junior Achievement.
He was a member of the M.L.R.A. (MonticeIlo Lakes Resort Association). He was a member of the Greater Monticello Chamber of Commerce.
He enjoyed being with family and friends at the campground.
Other survivors include a son, Christopher Hardy of Monticello; and a sister, Christina Miller of Anderson.
Two brothers are deceased.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home, Monticello. Services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Bedford Cemetery, Monon.
Memorials may be made to the Monon United Methodist Church lift project or the American Cancer Society.
