Marjorie Alice Hardacre, 89, formerly of Brookston, died Mon day, in St. Elizabeth Hospital Healthcare Center, Delphi, where she had been a resident since September 1987.
She was born Sept. 12, 1903, to Andrew Jacob and Alice Ann Labadi Fisher, in Detroit, Michigan. She was married Nov. 17, 1926, to Bland Joseph Hardacre in Detroit and he died April 3, 1990.
She moved from Detroit to Brookston in 1972. She and her husband owned and operated Hardacre Cleaning, Tailor and Dry Cleaning Service in Detroit for 36 years.
She was
a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Reynolds, the Altar and Rosary
Society of the
church
and the Prairie Home Demonstration Club.
Surviving are a nephew, Harols Wesner, R.1, Chalmers; and a niece, Gloria Lane of Dearborn, Michigan.
The funeral mass was today at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Rev Richard Miller officiating. Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, was in charge of the arrangements.
Burial was in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
