Richard Grant Hansell, 67, of Honolulu and formerly of Chalmers, died Thursday night, March 24, in Queen Medical Center, Honolulu, following an illness of six weeks.
He was born July 18, 1926 in Chalmers to Clyde and Audrey Piper Hansell. He married Regina Minnicus in Reynolds on May 4, 1946, and she survives.
He was a World War II veteran of the Navy. He had lived in Chalmers all of his life. He had been employed at Ralston Purina in Lafayette for 25 years.
He was a member of Eagles Lodge No. 347 in Lafayette and American Legion Post No. 268 at Chalmers.
Surviving with his wife are four sons, David Lawrence and Ronald S., both of Indianapolis, Dennis R. of Spring, Texas, and Mark P. of Tacoma, Washington; one sister, Marilyn Shenk of Monticello and one sister-in-law, Noreen Hansell of Monticello.
One brother, Robert. is deceased.
A private funeral service was held in Voorhis-Draper Euneral Home, Monticello.
Burial was in IOOF Riverview Cemetery.
