Ruby M.Hann

Ruby M. Hann, 85, Monon, died Sunday, August 2, at 1:10 p.m. in the Monticello Healthcare Center, where she had resided since 1993. She had been in poor health for five years.

She was born Dec. 23, 1912 to Walter and Florence Nightengale Whitlow, in Somerset, Ky.  She was married in 1937 to Bufford C. Hann in Attica, and he died August 1, 1969.

She had lived in Phoenix, Arizona, from 1943-1971, before moving to Monon.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Monon Community Church.

She also was a member of the Town and Country Extension Homemaker Club of  Monon.

She is survived by four brothers, Glenn Whitlow, South Bend; Leonard Whitlow and Donald Whitlow, both of Monon and Kenny Whitlow, Indianapolis; and two sisters, Verna Connelley, Valparaiso and Mary Stephens, LosAngeles.

A daughter is deceased.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Kellogg Funeral Home, Monon, with the Rev. Donald Newman officiating.

Burial was in Roseland Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Monon Community Church.
