Margie Vienta Hann, 98, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2000, at Monticello Healthcare Center.

She was born Oct. 11, 1901, to James and Eva Williams Spencer, in Wolcott. She was married in 1925, to John Hann, in Crown Point and he died April 29, 1969.

She graduated in 1918, from Monon High School and was a teacher for several White County schools and was a homemaker.

She moved to Monon from Lowell in 1970.

She attended Monon First Baptist Church and was a former member of the Eastern Star in Gary.

She is survived by daughters, Gloria Eichelberg, Valparaiso and Margie Kay Britton of Phoenix, sisters, Vernice Carlson, Monticello; Vera Wilson, Mcnon and Opal Shull, Kewanna; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

Two stepchildren, four brothers and three sisters are deceased.

Funeral service will be Saturday, 1 p.m. in Kellogg Funeral Home, Monon, with the Rev. Steve Birch officiating.  Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home in Monon.

Burial will be in Bedford Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church.
