The Rev. Dale Frank Hamilton, 84, of Lafayette, died Tuesday, Sept. 7, in his residence.

He was born Nov. 10, 1914, in Fowler and was a graduate of Fowler High School. He had resided in Lafayette the past 21 years.

The Rev. Hamilton retired after 30 years as a United Methodist Minister in the Northwest Conference.  He served churches in Monon, Lee, McCoysburg, Barkley, Rockville and Sweetser.  He was a member of the Rockville Masonic Lodge and was a 32nd  Degree Mason.

He was married Jan. 11, 1940. to Carol Mae Thomas in Fowler and she survives

Surviving with his wife are three daughters. Nancy Sproal of Tulsa, Okla.; Jeanne Rono, Indianapolis; Kay Ziegler, Noblesville; four sons, Jerry Hamilton, Muncie; Don Hamilton, Monticello; Mark Hamilton, San Ramon, Calif.; and Philip Hamilton, Indianapolis; and a sister, Mrs Ione Sherril, Gatlinburg, Tenn. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services were at Hippensteel Funeral Home, Friday. with the Rev. William C. Kehlhofer officiating Cremation followed the service.

Memorial contributions may be given to the United Methodist Children's Home in Lebanon.
