Freeda Sparks Hall, 91, Lafayette, a former Brookston resident, died Sunday, June 17, at 11 p.m. in Rosewalk Village, where she had resided since September 1999.
She was born July 30, 1909, to William Henry and Emma Catherine Birch Sparks in Greene County. She was married May 17, 1927 to Van C. Hall at Harrodsburg. He died in 1979.
She attended Solsberry schools.
She was a homemaker and had lived in Bloomington, Lafayette, Brookston (1979) and moved to Rosewalk Village in September 1999.
She was a member of Greene County United Methodist Chapel of Solsberry and attended the Brookston United Methodist Church, where she was a member of Willing Workers.
She was a life member of the Brookston American Legion Auxiliary and a member of the Lafayette Old Rails.
She is survived by a son, William L. Hall of Green Cove Springs, Florida; three daughters. Mary Lou (Jack) Jones of Greenwood, Nancy (Hurlie) Stinnett of Brookston and Donna (Joe) Fish of Battle Ground; a daughter-in-law, Beverly Hall of Battle Ground; 15 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
A son, Robert F. Hall; two grandsons, Roger Dale Hall and James L. Jones; two brothers; and seven sisters are deceased.
Services will be Friday at the Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, with the Rev. Jan Dimick officiating.
Interment will be in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Mausoleum, West Lafayette.
