Norma Sue Barrett Haines, 53, North Vernon, formerly of Brookston, died Sunday, Aug. 2, at 10:53 a.m. at Scott Memorial Hospital, Scottsburg.
She was born Feb. 23, 1945, to Russell and Helen Kellams Barrett in White County. She was married Aug. 5, 1978, to Larry Leon Haines, and he survives.
She graduated in 1963 from Brookston High School and also graduated from Elkhart University.
She was formerly employed at Memorial Hospital in Seymour, where she had been a laboratory technician for 22 years.
She was a member of Tea Creek Baptist Church in Jennings County and a member of American Medical Technologists.
She is survived by her husband; her mother, Helen Gruber, Brookston; two sons, Christopher Fenner, Edinburgh and Gary Haines, North Vernon; a daughter, Lisa Haines, Columbus; two sisters, Linda Jean Horner, Monticello and Ruth Ann Weiderhaft, West Lafayette; and a brother, Jim Barrett, Brookston.
A brother is deceased.
Funeral services were today Aug. 5, at 10:30 am. in Dove-Sharp and Rudicel Funeral Home. North Vernon, with the Rev, Bart Smith officiating.
Burial was in Vernon Cemetery.
