Mildred E. Habben, 89, R.1, Brookston, died Thursday, Oct. 20, in the Mulberry Nursing Home.

She was born July 4, 1906, in Brookston. She was married Nov. 12, 1025, to Gerald Habben, in
Brookston, and he died in. October 1975.

She graduated in 1923 from Brookston High School.

She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Otterbein and the W.E.LA. of the church, Order of Eastern Star at Wolcott, Round Grove Home Demonstration Club and Purdue Homemakers Glee Club.

Surviving are two daughters; Mrs Jay (Barbara) Downing, Fort Wayne and Mrs William (LaVaughn) Hornrig, Lafayette; two sons; David "Buddy" of R., Brookston and Richard, Delphi; 11 grandchildren and 22 great grand children. Ten brothers and sisters are deceased.

The funeral was Sunday in the Faith Lutheran Church, Otterbein, with Pastor David Tinker officiating. Steely Funeral Home, Otterbein was in charge.

Burial was in Montmorenci Cemetery.
