He was born Dec. 19, 1933, to Raymond Arthur and Mattie Violet Wheeldon Green, in Monon. He was married March 12, 1958, to Mary Kathryn Beasy in Monon, and she survives.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1953-56 and attained the rank of sergeant.

He was a self-employed carpenter and was retired.

Surviving with his wife are two brothers, Max Green and Gregg Green, both of Monon.

A brother and two sisters are deceased.

Funeral services were conducted Friday at Kellogg Funeral Home, Monon, with the Rev. Donald Newman officiating.

Burial, with full military rites were at the Chapel Cemetery, Monon.
