Gregory Alan "Gregg" Green, 52 of Monon, died Wednesday, October 10, 2001, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lafayette. He had been in failing health for a month.

He was born in Lafayette on August 1, 1949, the son of Raymond A. and Violet M. Wheeldon Green. He married Rebecca A. "Becky" Maienbrook. She survives.

He lived in the Monon community all of his life and was a 1968 graduate of North White High School.

He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Vietnam era.

He worked at Tuthill Transport Technology in Brookston for 13 years.

He was a member of the White County Emergency Management advisory board and Wolcott Progressive Club. He was also a member of the VFW and American Legion Post, both of Monticello, and the American Rifle Association.

Other survivors include a son, Craig (Lori) Green of Monon; and a brother Max (Saundra) Green of Monon.

Brothers Ray and Stanley Green a sister, Jane Cooley, are deceased.

Funeral services were on Saturday at Miller-Roscka Funeral Home in Monticello with Rev. Matt Pickett, officiating. Burial, with full military rites were [sic] at Chapel Cemetery, Monon.
