Evelyn Barnes Greenfield

Evelyn Barnes Greenfield, 93, of Brookston, died Wednesday, December 28, 2005, at Rosewalk Village, Lafayette.

She was born in Hardin County, Ky., on June 3, 1912.

Her first marriage was to John Barnes in 1931. They later divorced. She then married Chester Greenfield in Lafayette on December 23, 1965. He died Dec. 24, 1991.

Survivors include sons, William E. Barnes, Lake Worth, Fla., and Edward K. (Georgia) Barnes, Brookston; daughter, Charlene (Bill) Thompson, Brookston; step-daughter, Nancy (Max) Lewellen, Indianapolis; brother, David (Ann) Nichols, Cecilia, Ky., sisters, Bea Lang, Tampa, Fla., and Josephine Pecar, Elizabethtown, Ky.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Three sisters and a brother are deceased.

Funeral services were Friday, Dec. 30, at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home in Brookston with Rev. Joe Hornick officiating.

Burial was in Brookston I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
