Russell Aubrey Gray, 73, Monon, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2000, at St. Anthony's Hospital, Crown Point.
He was born April 5, 1926, to Russell and Audrey Hathaway Gray, in Hammond. He was married July 29, 1950, to Mary Lou Qualkinbush Gray, in Hammond and she survives.
He lived in Monon for 12 years, moving there from Highland.
He graduated from Hammond High School in 1944, and attended Purdue for two years.
He was a design engineer for Superior Engineering Corp. in Hammond for 23 years..
He was
a member of the Monon United Methodist Church, and was a lifetime member
of the Garfield Masonic Lodge,
Hammond.
He is survived by his mother, Audrey Gray. Crown Point; wife, Mary Lou Gray, Monon; sons, James A. Gray and Jeffrey M. Gray, both of Crown Point and John R. Gray of Kingwood, Texas; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral service was Saturday at Kellogg Funeral Home, Monon, with the Rev. James Copeland officiating.
Burial was at Bedford Cernetery, Monon.
Memorials may be given to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation.
