Marjorie A. Rowe Gray, 65, 4001 Oak Lane, Lafayette, died Monday, August 18, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She had been ill since 1989.

She was born May 15, 1932 in Glenwood, Illinois to Gilbert and Johanna Friedrich Rowe. She mar ried Lester Gray on June 5, 1960.

She was a graduate of Brookston High School.

She was retired from the State Farm Insurance Regional Office in Lafayette, IN, after 36 years.

Surviving with her husband are 2 daughters, Kathy Thelen, Carmel, IN and Debra Slanec, Lafayette, IN; 2 sons, Gary Gray, West Lafayette, IN, and Michael Gray, Lafayette, IN; 1 sister, Susan Thomson of Hialeah, FL; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert "Gib" and Johanna Rowe, and brother, Donald Rowe.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. today at Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, with Rev. Lelan McReynolds officiating.

Entombment will be in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, West Lafayette, IN.
