James Arthur Goodwin, 84, Wolcott, died Saturday, June 28 at 7 p.m. in his home. He had been ill for two months.
He was born Oct. 12, 1912, to Andrew and Eva Campbell Goodwin, in Onarga, Ill. He was married in 1936 to Margaret Humphrey, who survives.
He had lived since childhood in the Wolcott area and attended North School near Wolcott.
He was a farmer and attended Palestine Christian Church.
Surviving is a son, Arthur Goodwin; Remington; and three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A son, three sisters and brother are deceased.
The funeral was conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Foster Funeral Home, Wolcott with the Rev. Thomas Fox officiating.
Burial was in the Remington Cemetery.
