Louise C. Gilmore, 84, of Raleigh, N. C. and former Monon resident died suddenly at her residence on Monday, December 15, 2003.

She was born in Fowler, Indiana on November 15, 1919 the daughter of Lee and Mary Selz Bartlett She married Ralph E. Gilmore on December 31, 1941 in Monticello. He died March 29, 1995.

She was a 1937 graduate of Monticello High School.

She was a homemaker and had worked part time at the North White High School cafeteria for several years.

She had lived in the Monon area most of her life.

She was a member of the former Lee Methodist Church in Lee, Ind.

Survivors include three daughters; Mary Lou "Larry" Bender of Fort Wayne, Arlene Kay Gilmore of Columbus, Ohio and Janet Marie Tomlinson of Raleigh, N.C., and one brother, Walter Bartlett of Monon. She had six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Three brothers preceded her in death.

Visitation will be at the Kellogg Funeral Home on Friday, December 19, 2003 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday with Pastor Don Newman officiating.
