Carl E. Geisler, 53, Monticello, died Thursday, April 13, 2000 at White County Memorial Hospital.
He was born Nov. 18, 1946 in Logansport to Paul and Wilma VanVoorst Geisler. He married Donna Dunham Melin on Nov. 22, 1974 in Idaville. She survives.
He was a 1965 graduate of Monticello High School and was employed at Cargill, Inc. in Lafayette for 17 years.
He attended the Idaville Church of God.
He served two tours of duty in the U.S. Army in Vietnam from 1966-1969.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Julie Willoughby of Monon and Jo Ellen (Mark) Kelley of Monticello; son, James (Jackie) Melin of Redondo Beach, California; parents, Paul and Wilma Geisler of Idaville; granddaughters, Brittany and Tiffany Willoughby and Casondra Kelley; brothers, Tom (Donna) Geisler and Myron (Brenda) Geisler, both of Idaville; sister, Corinne (John) Banks of West Baden Springs; and grandparents, Ernest and Edna VanVoorst of Monticello.
An infant brother is deceased.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home, with the Rev. Alvin Rockey officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Burial will be at Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery with military rites.
