GLEN B. GARROTT

Glen B. Garrott, 67, Brookston, died Tuesday, July 26, at 11:17 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayette, where he had been a patient since July 13.  He had been in poor health for several months.

He was born in Battle Ground, Oct. 20, 1920.  His father was I. Floyd Garrott, a local banker. His marriage in Bloomington, Aug. 9, 1942, was to Lorraine Dorton, who survives.

He was a 1938 graduate of Battle Ground High School and a 1942 graduate of Indiana University.

He lived for 40 years in Brookston, where he owned and operated Garrott Insurance Agency until his retirement

He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Brookston American Legion Post No. 251, Lafayette Knights of Pythias, Lafayette Christian Businessmen's Club and the Brookston United Methodist Church.

Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Chris Krock and Janet Garrott, both of Chicago; one son, Douglas, of Moscow, Idaho; one brother John F. Garrott, Battle Ground; one sister, Alice Gentry, Noblesville, and two grandsons.

The funeral will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. in Brookston United Methodist Church, the Rev Gene Ancel officiating. Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. today at the Hartzler Funeral Home in Brookston and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be in Brookston IOOF Cemetery.
