Mary Jane [sic] Garling, 90, of Monon, died Friday, November 26, 2004 at her residence. She had been ill for seven months.
She was born at Lockport on September 11, 1914, to Ross and Nancy McLeland Grandstaff. She married Wilbur G. Garling at Lafayette on August 6, 1931. He died April 25, 1962.
She was a member of the Monon First Baptist Church.
She was employed at Bryan Manufacturing in Monticello for several years. She was employed at RCA in Monticello for 14 years and was retired
She had lived in the community most of her life.
Survivors include sons, Marion R. (Karen) Garling of Englewood, Florida, George D. (Marjorie) Garling of Monon and Lloyd R. (Janice) Garling of Reynolds; a daughter, Nancy Jane (Art) Lowell of Littleton, Colorado; daughters-in-law, Jean Garling of Englewood, Florida, Elaine Dickerson of Lebanon and Mary Helen Garling of Monon; a son-in-law, Harold Beiswanger of Buffalo, a brother, Robert (Virginia) Grandstaff of Logansport; a sister, Donna Mae Piercy of Logansport; 21 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.
Three sons, four brothers and two sisters are deceased.
Funeral services were Monday at Kellogg Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Birch officiating.
Burial was in Bedford Cemetery, Monon.
