Joann (Federer) Gardner

Joann (Federer) Gardner, 53, of Francesville, died Monday, April 12, 2004 in an auto accident near Francesville.

She was born February 22, 1951 in Lafayette, the daughter of Carl J. and Genevieve C. Hanus Federer.

She had lived in Francesville and Brookston most of her life.

She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Francesville.

She had worked at Farmers State Bank in Brookston for five years and had worked at Klein Brot Haus in Brookston for 10 years.

She was a member of the Kappa Kappa Sigma Sorority.

Survivors include three daughters, Sarah Jean Gardner of Minneapolis, MN, Erin Elizabeth Gardner of Indianapolis and Katie Anne Gardner of Lafayette; a son, Nathan Kent Gardner of San Diego, CA; a grandson, Ethan A. Montoya; two sisters, Barbara (Charles) Knarr of,Winamac and Kathy Raub of Knox; and a brother, Carl (Rusty) Federer of Francesville.

Both her mother and father preceded her in death.

Friends may call at the Querry-Ulbricht Funeral Home in Francesville from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday April 15, 2004.

A Rosary Service will be at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at St. Frances Catholic Church on Friday, April 16, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Paul R. White officiating.

Burial will be in Roseland Cemetery, Francesville.

Memorials may be made to Potato Creek State Park Nature Center.
