Ralph C. Gallinger, 87, R.5, Monticello, died Sunday, Dec. 11 at 7:04 p.m. in Monticello Healthcare Center. He had been a resident there since Oct. 9,1987.

He was born Feb. 10, 1901 in Wolcott, to Charles B. and Mary F. Clark Gallinger. He was married to Mearl Gibbons, Sept. 12 1934. She died Feb. 2,1973.

Mr. Gallinger lived on a farm in the Monticello community all of his life and had lived on the same farm since 1935.

He was a member of Yeoman United Methodist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Gerald and Larry K. Gallinger, both of R.5, Monticello; and two sisters, Lucille Neal, Chalmers and Delma Lytle, R.2, Monticello.

Also surviving are three grand children, two great grandchildren. Twin son and daughter and two brothers are deceased.

Service was Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in Miller-Voorhis Funeral Home, Monticello, with the Rev Bruce E. Lowery officiating.

Burial was in Yeoman Cemetery.
