Florence E. Hendrickson Gagnon, 82, of Brookston, died Thursday, April 13, 2000 at Home Hospital in Lafayette.

She was born in Brookston on Jan. 15, 1918 to Henry and Bertha Bartlett Hendrickson. She married George Gagnon on Jan. 28, 1939 in Lafayette. He died March 14, 1996.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Brookston Federated Church and the Church Social Committee.

She was a member of Ruth Circle and Prairie Home Demonstration Club.

She is survived by sons, Edwin Gagnon of Indianapolis and Michael (Gale) Gagnon of St. Charles, MO; daughter-in-law, Barbara Gagnon of Brookston, brother, Bill Hendrickson of Decatur, Mich.; sister, Anna Mae Aldridge of Elwood; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A son, David Gagnon, and brothers Al and Carl Hendrickson are deceased.

Funeral service was Saturday at Hartzler Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Lelan McReynolds officiating.  Burial was in IOOF Cemetery in Brookston.
