Kendora R. Furr, 38, of Remington was killed in an armed robbery in Remington at the Family Express at 11:01 a.m. on Monday, September 19, 2005.
She was born May 10, 1967 in Lafayette and graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1985.
Her marriage was to Donald E. Furr on September 12, 1987. in Lafayette. They later divorced. Her significant companion Daniel Krueger of Remington survives.
Kendora was the Manager of the Family Express and had worked for the company for six years. Previously she worked at Wabash National and for T-Mart (Traveler's Mart) in Wolcott for many years.
She enjoyed interacting with the public and working with her friends. She had a wonderful sense of humor and liked to play Playstation games. She loved to be with her children and play with the family dog Odet.
Surviving with her ex-husband are their daughters, Denea, Selena and Rheanna Furr; her mother, Rosie Cranford of Lafayette and three brothers, Dean (Valarie) Lucas of Dayton, IN, Kenny (Deborah) Lucas of Brookston and Terry (fiance [sic] Missy) of Francesville.
Preceding her in death is [sic] a son, Lucas Furr who died May 23, 2003; her father, Royce Lucas and her grandparents, Manden and Alyne Lucas[.]
Funeral services were at the Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home in Brookston on September 22 with Rev. Randy Sparks officiating. Interment was in Chalmers Community Cemetery.
