Army Specialist (SPC) Lucas 'Luke" Pierce Frist, 20, of Brookston died Monday, January 5, 2004 of injuries suffered while serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
He was born April 17, 1983 to Dennis and Patti Acheson Frist. They survive.
He was a 2001 graduate of Tri-County High School where he participated in football, track and band.
He was a 10-year 4-H member.
He was a member of the United States Army Reserve 209th Quartermaster Company fuel supply platoon. His home station was in Lafayette, Indiana.
He was a lieutenant in the Lafayette Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol.
He attended Meadow Lake Presbyterian Church in Wolcott.
He was a student at Ivy Tech State College.
He worked part time at Bartlett Ford in Brookston.
He enjoyed being outdoors, working with his hands and spending time with his friends.
Surviving besides his parents are sisters, Johanna and Erin Frist and grandmother, Frances Frist.
Grandparents Claude and Elnora Acheson and Grandfather Robert J. Frist are deceased.
Visitation was at Tri-County High School on Sunday, January 11 and funeral services were at Tri-County High School on Monday with Pastor Anella McFee officiating.
Memorials may be made in Luke's honor to the Lafayette Composite squadron of the Civil Air Patrol or the US Army Reserve 209th Quartermaster Company-Family Readiness Group.
