She was
born Aug. 9, 1898, in Vermillion County and lived in Helt Township, Vermillion
Co. until
Oct. 1990,
when she moved to Heritage Health Care, West Lafayette.
She .was married Oct. 25, 1919, to Harlow P. Frist, in Columbus, Ohio. He preceded her in death March 12, 1975, and was a retired farmer.
She was a member of Vermillion Co. Ext. Home Ec Club, Salem United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and had been a youth Sunday school teacher. She was also a member of the American Legion Post 140 Auxiliary and was a Precinct Committee Woman for many years.
She was honored with life memberships by the Extension Home Economics Clubs and Methodist Womens Society for her community service.
Survivors are a daughter, Mary Edith Banes, Lafayette; a son, Robert J. Frist, Brookston; a brother, Paul V. Miller, Phoenix, Arizona; five grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren. A daughter, Betty Lou Frist Mayes, is deceased.
Service
was at Frist Funeral Home, Clinton, on Saturday, at 1:30 p.m. Interment
was in Helt's
Prairie
Cemetery.
