Alva June Foulks

Alva June Foulks, 79, of Monon, died Tuesday, April 12, 2005, at Monticello Health Care Center.

She was born August 1, 1925, in Rensselaer.

Her marriage was to Forrest Foulks on February 15, 1946. He survives.

She worked as a cook at the Medaryville High School and was also a beautician in Francesville. She had preciously [sic] worked at Controls in Winamac and Shoemacher's in Rensselaer. She and her husband had wintered in Florida for 21 years.

She was a member of the First Christian Church of Francesville.

She enjoyed sewing, reading and playing solitaire.

Surviving with her husband are a son, Donald L. (Pat) Foulks, of Monon; two daughters, Susan M. (Ron) Schultz of Medaryville; and Louella K. Beasey of Francesville; five brothers, Ralph (Rosie) Yeoman of Rensselaer, James (Darlene) Yeoman of Lafayette, Paul (Pat) Yeoman of Shreveport, LA, Boyd (Belinda) Yeoman of Merrillville and Eugene Yeoman of Monticello; two sisters-in-law Therese Yeoman of St. Anne, IL and Jeannie Yeoman of West Lafayette; nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.

Funeral services were Friday at Querry-Ulbricht Funeral Home in Francesville with James Ketchen officiating.

Burial was in Weston Cemetery, Rensselaer.
