Vera L. Oilar Ford, 77, of Lafayette, a former White Co. resident, died Thursday. Nov. 25, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lafayette. where she had been a patient since Friday, Nov. 19th.

She was born in Chalmers, Sept. 3, 1922, to Forrest and Anna Schultz Oilar. She was married April 22, 1951, to Herschel Ford, in West Lafayette. He survives.

She graduated in 1940 from the Brookston High School. She was a homemaker.

Surviving with her husband are a daughter, Mrs Rebecca "Becky" Colip and son-in-law, Dr. Mark Colip of Tyler, Texas; a brother, Bob "Red" Oilar of Monticello; two sisters, Mrs F.G. (Yvonne) Halstead of Battle Ground and Esther Harmon, Brookston; and two grandchildren, Matthew and Megan Colip of Tyler, Texas.

A sister, Bonnie is deceased.

Funeral services were at Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, with the Rev. Lelan McReynolds officiating.

Burial was in IOOF Cemetery, Brookston.
