Ralph E. Ford, 82, Brookston, died Tuesday, in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette, where he had been admitted on Sunday.
He was born Oct. 6,1910, in White County, to Rowe Bert and Mary Timmons Ford. He was married Nov. 12, 1935, to Wilma Dyer, who died Nov. 29, 1968.
He was a lifelong resident of the Brookston community and had retired as an electrician at Purdue University in 1974.
Surviving is a daughter, Mrs William (Barbara) Reed, Monon, and two sons, Gordon L., Brookston, and Herbert, Colorado Springs, Colorado. A sister, Helen Tan and a brother, Herbert D. Ford, both of Delphi, also survive. He had 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. A special friend Jane Wiggins preceded him in death.
Funeral services were today at Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, with Rev. Lore Binn Gibson officiating. Burial was in IOOF Cemetery, Brookston.
