Max E.
Flynn, 68, of Monticello, died Tuesday, February 29, 2000, at St. Elizabeth
Medical Center, Lafayette,
where he had
been a patient for the past six weeks.
He was born on October 28, 1931 in White County to Clifford and Orpha Hicks Flynn:
He was a 1951 graduate of Chalmers High School. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951-55 on the USS Iowa.
He was employed by Fairfield Manufacturing in Lafayette for 29 years, retiring in 1990 due to his health.
He was a member of Chalmers Community Church.
Surviving are three sons, Donald Flynn of Herndon, VA. Clifford Flynn of Altus, OK and Carl Flynn of Wolcott; two daughters, Linda (James) Hicks of Chalmers and Lou Ann Flynn of Brookston; a sister, Dana (Paul) Bunnell of Monticello, seven grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.
His parents and a sister, Luella Park are deceased.
Funeral services were Thursday, March 2, 2000 at Hartzler Funeral Home, Brookston, with the Rev. Bill Henderson officiating.
Burial was in Chalmers Community Cemetery.
