William Flanagan, Sr.

William Daniel Flanagan, Sr., 67, Monticello, died Sunday July 26, in White Co. Memorial Hospital. He had been in failing health for three years.

He was born Oct. 20, 1930, to William and Donnabell Burgess Flanagan, in Lafayette.  He was married Nov. 27, 1960, to Carol Smith in Lafayette, and she survives.

He graduated from Jefferson High School, Lafayette.

He lived for 30 years in Monticello, moving from Lafayette.

He was employed as a truck driver and was a member of the Eagles and Redman's Lodges, both of Monticello.

He is survived by his wife; five sons, William D., Indianapolis; Michael, Covington, Mark, Delphi, and William H. and William E., both of Lafayette; two daughters, Sandra Hooker, Lafayette and Nancy Chapman, Monon;  a sister, Marylee Kirk, Lafayette; 18 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.

Two children, four sisters and three brothers are deceased.

Funeral services were today (Wednesday) at Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home, with the Rev. James R. Copeland officiating.

Burial was in Spring Vale Cemetery, Lafayette.
