Jeanette Wood Fishcr, 86, of Brookston, died Saturday, January 17, 2004 at George Davis Manor Nursing Home in West Lafayette, where she had lived since 1983.

She was born December 10, 1918 in Galveston.

She married Leroy Fisher on April 12, 1941, in Greenwood. The family moved to the Brookston area in 1971 to farm.

She graduated from Galveston High School in 1935.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Brookston Federated Church and Kappa Kappa Sigma Sorority-Chalmers chapter.

Survivors include a daughter, Ruth Ann Beasley of Bloomington and a son, William "Bill" (Marilyn) of Sparta, Michigan; grandchildren, Scott Fisher, Doug (Carrie) Fisher, Mike Fisher and Jennifer (Herbert) Rieth and four great-grand children.

A son, Robert Fisher, and brothers Doug, Robert and Ed Wood are deceased.

Funeral services were today at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home in Brookston with the Rev. Lelan McReynolds, officiating.

Burial will be in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Cemetery, West Lafayette.
