Linda Kay Federer
Linda Kay Federer, 48, of Wolcott died Thursday, January 23, 2003 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lafayette. She had been ill for two years.
She was born at Hammond on September 10, 1954, to John and Florence Hogan. She married Joe Federer on January 19, 1974. He survives.
She was a 1972 graduate of Kewanna High School.
She was a homemaker and farmed with her husband.
She had lived in the Wolcott area for 29 years, coming from Kewanna.
She was a member of the Church of God.
She was a member of Psi Iota Xi Sorority. She was active, through her children, in the Tri-County FFA Connection and Band Boosters. She enjoyed gardening; making crafts and writing spiritually oriented poetry.
Surviving with her husband are a son, Jason Federer of Wolcott; a daughter, Kristen Federer of Chicago; sisters, Kathy (Rudy) Dees of Visalia, Calif., Wendy (Dan) Kelly of West Lafayette, Alice (Darrell) White of Winamac and Janice (Ozzie) Graham of Kewanna; brother, Mike Hogan of Kewanna; and her parents John and Florence Hogan of Kewanna.
Funeral services were Monday at Kellogg Funeral Home in Monon with Rev. Vern Stevry officiating.
Burial was in Wolcott Cemetery.
