Genevieve C. (Jean) Federer, 77, of Francesville, died Thursday, March 15, 2001 in Pulaski Memorial Hospital, Winamac.
She was born January 24, 1924, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Andrew and Karolina Miskowiec Hanus. She married Carl Joseph Federer on June 9, 1945 in Francesvilie. He died June 29, 1996. She had lived in Francesville for the past 61 years, moving there from Chicago.
She was a member of St. Francis Solano Catholic Church in Francesville. She also
belonged to the St. Francis Study club and Catholic Women's Organization.
Three daughters; Catherine A. Raab, Knox, Ind., Barbara (Charles) Knarr of Winamac and Joann Gardner, Brookston, Ind.; one son, Carl A. (Rusty) Federer of Francesville, and 10 grandchildren survive her.
Also surviving are three sisters; Mary Beneski, Lottie Skowron and Eleanor Putzier, all of Chicago, Ill, and one brother Chester Hanus of Winamac, Ind.
Her husband and one brother Casey Hanus preceded her in death.
Funeral services were Monday at St. Francis Solano Catholic Church with Father Paul R. White officiating. Querry-Ulbricht Funeral Home was in charge of the services. Burial was in Roseland Cemetery, Francesville.
